Piano tuners are not all the same. They have different levels of skill, education, experience, aptitude and, frankly, interest.
You should hire me because I’m really good and better than most at getting grand pianos to sound and feel great. My real goal is to make a “radical improvement” in the way your piano sounds and feels.
I’m particularly good at what is referred to as “high level” work but this doesn’t mean you have to be a concert pianist to appreciate it! Rather it means you appreciate, maybe even love your piano and you want it to perform at the highest level it is capable of.
I’ve had a unique career progression that has exposed me to all levels of piano use and the craft of piano technology. I had prepared pianos in most of this country’s major concert halls by the time I was 30 and in the process have worked with some of the most important musicians in this point in history. Through this experience I’ve learned how to make pianos sound and feel great.
I certainly provide the full range of piano services as do other technicians and my deep skill and experience means I am fast and efficient. I can accomplish a great deal of meaningful, high level work in a relatively short period of time.
The nicer your piano, the more you need me. This is particularly true if you have a Steinway, Yamaha, Kawai or an instrument made by one of the great European makers.
I take ethics and professional responsibility very seriously and I am well known and respected in the industry. I am a long time member of the Piano Technicians Guild , I am an RPT – Registered Piano Technician – and have regularly taught at national and regional conventions.
I truly love pianos and the craft of piano technology. But most of all I want to help you be really happy with your piano.
